The magnitude of this six by eight foot masterpiece draws the viewer into a place of peace and well being as Christ stands majestically above the horizon. Color reigns supreme as Christ rises from the flames, symbolizing that faith can resurrect us all from our past, should we chose the pathway of light. Malcolm painted this on Easter morning. He was highly motivated by the power of the new dawn, and chose to use it as a metaphor to portray the new life that can accompany us once we make the choice to seek God in every aspect of our lives. |
